It's an Index whose terms, contained in Column B, are Anchors that recall (via link) the corresponding chapters. The Index at the head of the page has two functions:1) highlights the contents without having to scan the text 2) navigates quickly through the consultation of the contents.
Rules for usage: mandatory the use of this Table even in the case of a text with only one title, both for system coherency and to facilitate future additions of chapters.
Mandatory
1) that the terms on the list be exactly the chapter titles;
2) that only the first word of each phrase be a Link;
3) specify the measurement in pixel of the width of the Table;
4) assign the measurements in the columns (td), but only in the cells in grey
5) insert inside the last row of Column A the image (X)../../images/blanks/blank_02.gif - width=80 height=1; this image is necessary to leave a space of 90 pixel from the margin left of the Browser window and the texts inside the table.
